Reflexionen, exhibition view at Franciscan monastery church, Düsseldorf

WHO’S THERE? | WHO’S THERE?

Who’s There? Who’s There? is an intervention in the emptied church of a Franciscan monastery, shortly before its demolition.
For the work Who’s There? Who’s There? a knocking instrument was placed behind a small wooden door. A motion detector by the door triggered the instrument when a visitor came near.

Who’s There? Who’s There? was originally made for an exhibition in the museum. In the monastery church the work attains a new forms due to both the context provided and the wider (not necessary gallery) public.

This work corresponded with another intervention Your Place or Mine? situated in a monastery refectory.
